Perfect pair

IMG_3451 (4)

Two chairs standing next to each other in the busy place in Melbourne. Untouched, unmoved, unseparated.

I was passing by and noticed those chairs in the middle of an atrium. It felt almost like if those chairs came there by themselves and were having a great time with each other.

They were overlooking a streets with busy Melbournians rushing home. People were passing by staring at the phone’s screens, noticing nothing, but Facebook updates, two chairs were quietly observing them. And not like they wanted to invite someone to join them, but quite the opposite, chairs were glad that they were left alone and had a peaceful evening together.

I always thought that chairs are soulless objects created for our comfort, furniture, but after I saw this pair I start to suspect that either someone left a piece of a  soul on those chairs or the chairs had a “piece of it” by themselves.
